How to choose the perfect headpiece & veil

Your wedding look is not complete without a gorgeous headpiece or veil.  Veils come in several lengths: shoulder, elbow, waist, fingertip, intermission, chapel & cathedral.  The length you select is entirely up to your personal style but be mindful when choosing a veil and consider the location of the ceremony. In a religious establishment a cathedral length veil is appropriate. If you are getting married on the beach, a long veil may not be the right choice. The wind outside can be very distracting, and you may find yourself adjusting your veil instead of being in the moment.  Traditionally a veil was worn to symbolize the bride’s virtue. The lifting of the veil during the ceremony symbolized that the groom was taking possession of his wife by seeing her face.
In addition to or in lieu of a veil, a headpiece is a beautiful addition to your overall wedding look.  There are many styles to choose from; most of which you will wear for the entire celebration.  When selecting your headpiece, be sure to bring with you for your hair trials so that your stylist can work with the ornament and avoid last minute surprises or follies.
